Overview
With regard to the acknowledgment of credits acquired from a previous graduate school, the years of study can be shortened up to one semester for master's and doctoral programs and two semesters for joint master’s and doctoral programs.

Procedure for handling the application for shortening the length of study (two times/year)
- Posting an official notice for shortening the length of study
- Application for shortening the length of study (Department → Graduate School Policy Office)
- Approval and change of enrollment status (Dept. of Academic Affairs Support → Department)

Please note:
- Requirements: 6 months if credits have been acquired from master's and doctoral programs at a previous graduate school; 1 year in the case of a joint program; 6 months in the case of excellent research performance in a joint program
- The length of study can be shortened up to 1 semester for master's and doctoral programs and 2 semesters for joint master's and doctoral programs
- Credits acquired from other graduate schools (credit exchange) in Korea and abroad can be acknowledged with the approval of the President, but the length of study cannot be shortened.
- A student who wishes to shorten the period of study must apply before registering for the third semester
