Eligibility to Apply
- A student who was expelled from graduate school
- A student who has been expelled from general, special, or professional graduate school programs (including those withdrawn)
- Re-admission of a student who has been admitted through an academia-research cooperative program course can only be readmitted if they maintain the screening conditions (working at the organization that recommended the student at the time of admission).
※ Exceptions: A student expelled due to disciplinary action, a student expelled due to exceeding the length of study, a student expelled as an entrusted student
※ Restrictions on re-admission: Only once within the length of enrollment (Article 41-6 of the Academic Regulations)
Length of Study and Length of Enrollment
Length of Study
- Master's/doctoral programs in general graduate school, the Graduate School of Industry, Sejong Graduate School of National Policy (thesis system), Graduate School of Law (doctoral Program): four semesters including the semesters with re-admission permission
- Sejong Graduate School of National Policy (credit acquisition system) Graduate school of Business Administration and Graduate School of Law: five semesters including the semester with re-admission permission
- Graduate School of Education and Graduate School of Law (master’s program): six semesters including the semester with re-admission permission
- Joint program: eight semesters including the semester with re-admission permission
Length of Enrollment
- The length of enrollment is 1.5 times the remaining length of study after re-admission, but it cannot exceed three times for the Graduate School of Law.
- The period of leave is not counted in the length of enrollment
Criteria for Selection
- General graduate school: In accordance with the criteria set by each university (department)
- Special Graduate School and Professional Graduate School: In accordance with the criteria set by each graduate school
- ※ For the persons who apply for re-admission as first-year students, student quota changes according to the result of the registration of the students who pass the 2020 admission screening.
- If there are more applicants than the available seats for re-admission, they will be selected with the priority below.
- First priority: A student with a top grade point average for the previous year
- Second priority: A student who acquired a large number of credits
- Third priority: A student who took a large number of courses
Standards for Permitted Grade/Semester
Students will be permitted to the same year or lower in the previous department (major) in which they were enrolled, and the credits acknowledged must meet the minimum standards in the standard table below.
(However, credits acquired as prerequisite courses are excluded from the credits acquired)

Matters to take note of and Guidance
Please note:
Acknowledgement of the credits of readmitted students and course completion
- Readmitted students’ credits are acknowledged in total, and the remaining credits to acquire are the same as the year of re-admission.
- Completion according to the curriculum in the same year as the year of re-admission.
Cancellation of re-admission
- Re-entry students are required to pay tuition fees within a prescribed period in accordance with the regulations on payment, and if not, the re-entry permission will be canceled.
Guide
The number of available seats for re-admission of first year students of general graduate school, Graduate School of Education, Sejong Graduate School of National Policy, Graduate School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Law may be changed according to the final registration results after the announcement of results of the graduate school admission screening

- One copy of Advisory Professor’s Opinion Letter
- One copy of the Certificate of Acquired Credits of the readmitted graduate student (written by the relevant department)
- One copy of Transcript
- One copy of School Register before expulsion
- One copy of the Certificate of Employment or Referral from the head of an institution (for readmitted students)
