Types of Scholarships

Types of Scholarships

Newly admitted students Selected in the order of higher academic performance by academic field department (Level C only for graduate school)
Welfare scholarship College welfare scholarship Level A, B1, B2, C (Level C only for graduate school, grade C+ or higher) College
Special scholarship Leader Scholarship College student council officers, etc. Level A, B1, B2, C (grade C+ or higher) College
Merit scholarship
  • Award winners in national (national organizations and organizations organized by the competition and organized by the nation) and international-scale academic, artistic, and athletic competitions (three people per group in the case of a group)
  • Level A: 1st place (grade Bo or higher)
  • Level B1: 2nd place (grade Bo or higher)
  • Level B2: 3rd place (Grade(grade Bo or higher)
※ If the prize level is not determined, such as winning an award in an international-scale competition or international-scale exhibition, the president decides through the scholarship management committee. 		Graduate School Policy Office
International student scholarship based

  • New master’s students after graduating from our undergraduate program and new doctoral students after graduating from a master’s program
  • Level B1: Korean language proficiency test level 5 or higher (grade Ao or higher)
  • Level B2: Korean language proficiency test level 5 or higher (grade B+ or higher)
  • Common to master's and doctoral students : Level C

Gaesin Family Scholarship
  • Level A: 1 student (grade Bo or higher), if there are three or more of their family members (parents, couples, siblings) enrolled in our university (grade Bo or higher)
  • Level C: 1 student (grade C+ or higher) if there are two or more of their family members (parents, couples, siblings) enrolled in our university

Admission scholarship for students in joint bachelor’s /master’s program Level A for one year (selected within the scope of the general graduate school scholarship budget) Graduate School Policy Office

※ The number of recipient of the leader scholarship and joint bachelor’s and master’s program scholarship are decided each semester
※ “Graduate school” includes General, Special, and Professional Graduate School.
※ Freshmen additionally admitted are excluded from selection
